Right after the spill happens try to shake of as much of the coffee from the tie as possible without rubbing it in.

Next, take a clean sponge or towel, dip it in cold water, and dab it onto the stain.

If the stain still still shows then do this again with a cold water and white vinegar solution. A 50/50 mix is good.

Continue this several times. If the stain still shows then apply the water and vinegar solution directly onto the stain.

Let it soak in a little, and then over it with an absorbent pad and apply some pressure. Repeat this several times using a new and clean pad.

The steps above should work more than 9 out of 10 times to get a coffee stain out of a silk tie.

Should the stain still remain then there are a few more tricks below. The reason you want to wait on these as a last resort is because it can be a harsh with the delicate fabric and might even damage the silk permanently.

Should the stain remain then apply to rub alcohol directly onto the stain and cover with an absorbent pad? Apply some pressure and let it sit for a few minutes before applying a new pad. Repeat this several times and once the stain is outdoing this two more times but using water instead of alcohol.
